Backstage Workshops
The Ellie Caulkins Opera House becomes a living classroom as students visit a variety of stations and learn about the production of grand opera. Explore the world behind the curtain with hands-on workshops on lighting, design, costuming, special effects, and more. One of Opera Colorado's most popular educational programs, these workshops sell out quickly!
GRADE LEVEL: Pre-K through 12th grade
DATES: November 3 and 10, 2010, 10 am – noon
February 8 and 16, 2011, 10 am – noon
April 25, 29 and May 3, 2011, 10 am – noon
COST: $8 (student), $12 (chaperone)
CHAPERONE REQUIREMENT:
One supervising teacher per ten students (admitted free of charge).
All workshops take place at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Performing Arts Complex in downtown Denver.
