Mozart’s famous opera comes to life on the stage of the Ellie!  While trying to rescue Pamina, the beautiful daughter of the Queen of the Night, handsome Tamino is coerced into killing the mysterious high priest Sarastro. Accompanied by his side-kick the quirky bird-catcher Papageno, he journeys far and wide to find her. This special performance is abridged for student audiences and features the Opera Colorado Young Artists. Sung in German with subtitles at each seat, this new Opera Colorado production focuses on the triumph of good over evil and what we do when faced with difficult decisions.

Stay for an interactive talk-back with the cast and crew following the performance.
