2010-2011 Pilot Program
This unique new program will provide your students with a well-rounded and exciting opportunity as they go behind the scenes and experience the inner workings of a non-profit performing arts organization: Opera Colorado. Your class will be tasked with marketing La Bohème or Rusalka to their peers efficiently, effectively, and as a team. Starting from learning the basics of the art form and the history of their assigned opera to attending private rehearsals and receiving guidance from Opera Colorado’s Marketing and Education Departments, students will gain knowledge and skills required to run a successful arts organization. Marketing materials will be created in the form of posters, postcards, e-blasts, short commercials, Facebook posts and other innovative applications.
La Bohème Program: October 2010
Rusalka Program: February 2011
GRADE LEVEL: 6th – 12th grade
Application materials available upon request. Space is limited; only four classes will be accepted to participate for the 2010-2011 school year.
