Opera in a Trunk
Filled with hands-on instructional materials, Opera Colorado is offering four Opera in a Trunk programs this year. Choose from trunks related to our student matinee performance of Rossini's Cinderella; our touring operas, Romeo & Juliet and Hansel & Gretel; and the Opera for Beginners trunk that highlights the world's most popular operas. Each trunk is filled with costumes, props, and activities that make opera come alive for your students. A study guide is provided to supplement learning in the classroom or prepare for seeing a performance. This program includes a presentation by an Opera Colorado Education Specialist; classrooms then keep the trunk for one week to continue their discovery of the art form. Educators are responsible for returning the trunk. Filled with exploration as well as education, Opera in A Trunk is an enjoyable and informative experience for all.
