Ticket Exchanges

All single ticket purchases are final. Opera Colorado does not offer refunds, exchanges or donation credit for single tickets. Please visit TicketExchange through Ticketmaster for the opportunity to resell your tickets based on Ticketmaster’s policies.

Benefits for Season Ticket Holders Only

Purchase Additional Tickets
Season ticket holders receive 15% discount on additional tickets for any performance, without service charges. This benefit is available only by calling Opera Colorado Patron Services at 303.468.2030. Seating subject to availability.

Exchange Your Tickets
Season ticket holders may exchange tickets for a different day of the same opera at no charge up to 24 hours in advance. Exchanges occurring less than 24 hours in advance will incur a $5 per ticket exchange fee. New tickets will not be issued until we receive your original tickets. We will either mail you new tickets if time permits or hold them at will call.
NOTE: These policies are for season ticket holders only. All individual ticket purchases are final. Exchanges from Tuesday to any other day will be charged the difference in ticket price. 

Original tickets must be returned or destroyed before new tickets are issued.

To request an exchange:

-Call 303.468.2030, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
-Email a scan of the destroyed tickets to customerservice@operacolorado.org
-Fax the destroyed tickets to 303.778.0479
-Mail or bring the tickets to Opera Colorado Patron Services:

Denver, CO 80246

Please include your name, daytime phone number and the new date you wish to attend.


Donating Tickets to Opera Colorado

Season Ticket Holders can donate their tickets up to the day before the performance and receive a receipt for tax-deduction purposes. Ticket donations will only be allowed for mainstage opera tickets. Simply deliver, mail, or fax in your tickets to the box office to receive credit for your donation. If you donate tickets within 24 hours of a performance, we will give you a tax deduction ONLY if your tickets are resold.


If You Lose Your Tickets

Don’t worry. Just call us at 303.468.2030 and we’ll have a new ticket for you at Will Call. If you are in a group, please indicate your seat number.


If You’re Late for a Performance

Late-comers will be seated at the earliest possible break in the performance. Depending on the performance, there may be no late seating and you will not be allowed to enter until intermission! We do not offer refunds in the event of a missed performance. Shows begin promptly. Check your tickets for show times. Please allow plenty of extra time for parking. If You Require Special Seating or Other Assistance

Please call us at least 24 hours prior to the performance. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is accessible for persons with disabilities. We also provide audio-described performances at all Sunday matinees. Audio enhanced infrared listening systems are available at all performances. Promotional Offers

Opera Colorado reserves the right to sell tickets at a promotional rate or special offers. These offers cannot be applied toward previously-purchased tickets and are subject to the same ticketing policies.


Season Ticket Holder Discount on Additional Tickets

Friends or family interested in attending? Opera Colorado Season Ticket Holders receive 15% discount on additional single tickets. Call Patron Services at 303.468.2030 to take advantage of this opportunity. Seating is subject to availability.


If You Want to Sit with Your Friends

Single Ticket Holders may mail their season tickets to Opera Colorado’s Patron Services along with their request. If adjacent seats are available, we’ll book them for you and mail them to you. If not, we’ll exchange your tickets for comparable seats together, subject to availability. Please call 303.468.2030 for more information.


Third-party Ticket Sale

With the popularity of Opera Colorado performances, some ticket brokers and websites try to sell opera tickets at highly inflated prices. Please be aware of the following:

Opera Colorado cannot guarantee that tickets sold from a third-party broker are valid. If you buy tickets from a broker and they are overpriced or invalid, Opera Colorado assumes no responsibility. We will not refund the ticket price or reseat you in valid seats.

Know who you are purchasing tickets from before handing over your credit card! Ticketmaster is Opera Colorado’s only additional ticket provider.


Statute of Limitations

Issues related to tickets or seating must be filed within 72 hours following the ticketed performance. All ensuing actions must be rectified within seven days of the ticketed performance.
