Planning Your Visit
Before you attend an Opera Colorado production, here are a few helpful hints to make your experience a great one!
Accessibility
The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). For information on accessible seating and requirements,
visit our Accessibility page.
Attire
While there is no dress code, many of our patrons enjoy dressing up for the opera. Opening nights are generally "black-tie" - it's not unusual to see tuxedos and elegant dresses. For an evening performance, we typically recommend business or cocktail attire. Sunday matinees are slightly more casual, with men in sport coats and women in nice dresses or pantsuits.
Directions
Driving Directions to the Denver Performing Arts Complex from I-25: Take I-25 toward downtown Denver. Take the Speer Boulevard South exit. Follow Speer Boulevard to Arapahoe Street (past Elitch's and the Pepsi Center). Turn left on Arapahoe Street. The Denver Performing Arts Complex is located on your right, between 13th and 14th Streets off Arapahoe Street. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is located at the east end of the Complex, on 14th Street.

The Denver Performing Arts Complex Garage :
ARRIVE EARLY!
The garage is often full one hour prior to the performance. Please note: an early arrival will afford you plenty of time for parking and finding your seats. All evening shows start promptly at 7:30 pm. All matinees begin at 2:00 pm.
Please note that the Public Works department of the City of Denver has raised the event parking rate at the DPAC garage to $10.
The Colorado Convention Center Parking Garage
The garage offers 1,000 additional parking spaces conveniently adjacent to the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The garage is linked to the Denver Performing Arts Complex via an uncovered bridge. Enter the garage off of Speer at Champa Street. Parking is the same price as at the DPAC garage, but is often much less crowded.
